As our family grew, we always dreamed of living on a vast piece of land where we could connect with nature and create a legacy. Our father’s lifelong passion has been raising bison—a symbol of strength, freedom, and the untamed spirit of the American frontier. In 2019, we were blessed to purchase our first hundred acres in Cleveland, South Carolina, and what started as a dream has since flourished into a thriving bison ranch.

The story behind our unique name, Big Balls Ranch (BBR), is rooted in family and humor. The first lady of the ranch, our mother, wanted to incorporate her and our father’s initials. With her creative touch—decorating with wooden and grass balls around the house—she landed on Big Balls Ranch. Though playful in nature, the name resonated with us on a deeper level. It takes courage, strength, and grit to venture into the unfamiliar world of bison ranching. From our experience, we've developed a profound respect for these majestic creatures, learning that caring for bison requires both heart and resilience.
